Why we create bespoke web design...

Mobile website

...rather than using 'off the shelf' templates

We spend a lot of time creating original 'stand out' brands and we realise them online by designing bespoke websites, using our own content management system.

From time to time, we get asked whether we can create a brand 'look and feel' for a business, which they will then take and implement themselves into a standard template web design.

On the face of it, you would think this would work just fine. But the results are invariably poor, simply because we don't have enough design flexibility to realise all aspects of the brand's 'look and feel' in the most convincing way.

The standard 'off the shelf' website templates tend to be clunky, look unsophisticated and have poor, ill considered user journeys.

When we develop a bespoke web design, we are able to create a far more effective user journey. Using our own CMS system, we can create a dynamic web platform that is both very easy to share and to update content and which is also responsive to all user devices, whether desktop, mobile or tablet. We are also able to future proof the design solution so that more sections and more content can be added but without having to totally redesign the website.

Another big advantage of creating bespoke web design with our own CMS is we are able to optimise the site for Google search. We can edit all of the relevant page tags, enabling us to get far more in depth Google Analytics.

Finally, all our websites are hosted on Westgate's dedicated servers. This means that our clients get advanced technical support from trained professionals 24/7. Our staff personally create backups on a daily basis so we can quickly and easily restore data in the event of disaster.

If you are looking for forward thinking website solutions that create real commercial impact online, please don't hesitate to get in touch with myself or one of the creative team here at Westgate. shaun@westgatecomms.com
